Please slow down and use extra caution while traveling near the work zone area. After making contact with the driver, a search of the vehicle was requested and received. I know I’ve written about this topic in the past; however, these things need to be said every once in a while. If you’re like me, you’ve slept since the last time you read (or I wrote) about this and it may all be new.
Weather permitting, Monday, May 21 at 8 a.m., MO 161 just east of Montgomery City will be closed to traffic to begin replacement of the Elkhorn Creek Bridge. The bridge replacement should take approximately 59 working days to reopen to traffic. The new two lane bridge will be four-foot wider and will open to traffic by mid-July.
Less than 2 hours after learning of MAR-PARK's victory in Circuit Court, MAR-PARK partner Ron Moss vowed to open the drag strip in August. That's August 2012.
CNL spoke with Bob Combs, of Middletown, this afternoon. He's the chairman of the Montgomery County Planning & Zoning Commission, whose work was upheld today by a court decision in the MAR-PARK drag strip case.
On Sunday, a trooper with the Missouri State Highway Patrol initiated a traffic stop near the 142-mile marker on Interstate 70.
