On Thurs., Oct. 27, 2011, the Montgomery County Wildcats will end their 2011 season at Jim Blacklock Field. Although the 2011 season has not turned out as successful as the players or coaches would have liked, tonight is an opportunity to celebrate and support our football seniors. These young men have done a lot for our football program this season and deserve our support tonight as they take the field of battle. Importance to me:

This event auctioned off FFA student’s labor services in blocks of eight hours for anything including babysitting, cleaning houses, yard work, farm work, working at businesses, and essentially any other appropriate job. The evening began with a free supper consisting of dishes such as chili, vegetable soup, chicken noodle soup, cheese and crackers, fresh vegetable trays, and homemade pies. The products ordered during the annual FFA fruit, meat, and nuts sale arrived at Montgomery County High School the morning of December 7. FFA members assisted advisors Laura Cooley and Jonathan Hoer unloading the truck and taking inventory.
