Stacy Jennings Brookman, 52, of Montgomery City, MO, formerly of Pacific, MO, died on Saturday, December 24, 2011.

Wilbur Stanley Hartsell, 97, of Vandalia, Missouri, formerly of Montgomery City, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2011 at Audrain Medical Center, Mexico, Missouri.

Mr. Hartsell was born in Elvins, Missouri on July 18, 1914, the son of the late William B. and Anna (Stanfield) Hartsell.

Marie Ann Gooch, 79, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on Sun., Dec. 18, 2011 at Albuquerque Heights Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

A celebration of Marie’s life will be at 11:00 am., Thurs., Dec. 29, 2011 at the Myers Funeral Home in Wellsville. Father Greg Oligschlaeger will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Wellsville Cemetery.

Dorothy Elizabeth Weeks Hudson, 81, died on Tues., Dec. 13, 2011, at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Mr. Lester William Ridder, 77, of Kimberling City, formerly of Montgomery City, passed away Thurs., Dec. 8, 2011 at his residence.

Mr. Ridder was born in Augusta, Mo. on Jan. 18, 1934, the son of the late Elmer C. and Teckla J. (Osthoff) Ridder.

Martha Evelyn Porterfield, 92 of Mexico, died at 1:55 a.m. Mon., Dec. 5, 2011 at Audrain Medical Center.

Martha was born July 26, 1919 in Mineola, the daughter of Edwin and Viola McCormack. On May 29, 1957 in Mexico, she married Harold “Sam” Porterfield. He died on March 9, 2005.

Mrs. Porterfield enjoyed crafts and sewing. She had a sewing machine in her room at Golden Living Center-Pin Oaks. Martha was a member of the Gabby Gals Club at the nursing home.

Robert “Bob” George Schroer, 86, of rural Montgomery City, Mo., passed away on Wed., Nov. 30, 2011 at Frene Valley Health Center in Hermann, Mo., where he had lived since Jan., 2011.

Survivors are son, Doug Sinclair of Jonesburg, Mo.; son, Stewart Sinclair of Ojai, CA; son, Richard Sinclair of Ojai, CA; sister, Happy Bruner of AZ; sister, Dixie Thacker of San Miguel, CA; six grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.

Leonard Monroe Bass, of Warrenton, Mo., passed away on Wed., Nov. 23, 2011 in Warrenton, Mo., at the age of 48 years.

Leonard was born to Everett and Linda (nee-Bass) Snider on Dec. 3, 1962 in St. Louis, Mo.

He was a landscaper.

Marie C. McCaw, 85, died Sun., Nov. 13, 2011 at her home in Martinsburg, Mo.

Funeral services will be Tues. at 3:00 p.m. at Arnold Funeral Home in Mexico.

Marie was born on April 11, 1926 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Alfonso and Mary Elizabeth (Piancimino) Vitello. She was raised in Chicago and on Sept. 19, 1948 she married W. Stanley McCaw at St. Francis DePaula Church. They lived in the Chicago area until 1987 when they moved to Martinsburg.
