UPDATE TUES., OCT. 4: First District Montgomery County Commissioner Rich Daniels told MontgomeryAndMe.com on Tuesday morning that the Commission would be out of the office most of the day on Thurs., Oct. 6 for a Northeast Missouri Commissioners & Clerks meeting in Hannibal and would likely not have much time to consider Ronnie Moss’ application. The next scheduled meeting is Mon., Oct. 10.

ORIGINAL STORY:  The Montgomery County Planning and Zoning Commission met the evening of Mon., Oct. 3, 2011 to once again review developer Ronnie Moss’ application for a conditional use permit to build a drag strip to be named Mid America Raceway Park on the south service road outside of New Florence.

When the Montgomery County Commission finished the closed meeting after speaking with attorney Ivan Schrader on the afternoon of Thurs., Sept. 29, they allowed the public to return so they could continue to discuss the application for a conditional use permit for developer Ronnie Moss to build a drag strip outside of New Florence to be named Mid America Raceway Park.

The Montgomery County Planning and Zoning Commission shall hold a Public Hearing to hear a request from Brian Bufka, doing business as 1st Place Printing, to operate a full-service print facility, located in an agricultural zoning district of Montgomery County. The property affected is owned by Alan and Patricia Bufka.

At the Planning and Zoning public hearing on Wed., Sept. 21, a crowd of 131 spectators signed in, which does not include members of the Montgomery County Sherif's Department and members of the Missouri Highway Patrol.
