Judge Keith Sutherland will sentence Kemp on October 5. Kemp faces 10 years in prison on each count could be sentenced to life. Noedel-PublisherWe finally had a little rain in parts Montgomery County which answered some prayers but the lightening associated with it knocked out the radio control consoles at Central Dispatch for several days. The Ambulance building had a backup system they let dispatch use until the damaged radio equipment could be repaired. Investigation by deputies led to the recovery of a laptop and a game console that were stolen from a residence on Hwy 19 just south of I-70. The items were returned to the owners. Attorney General Chris Koster has shut down a Dallas County dog breeder for violations of Missouri’s Animal Care Facilities Act and Canine Cruelty Prevention Act. Koster said his office obtained an injunction last month prohibiting Lori Goss from operating any dog breeding facility in Missouri for ten years.

Attorney General Chris Koster announced that 108 citations – 80 tickets and 28 warnings – were issued as part of an accessible-parking enforcement operation held in the Kansas City area on Saturday. Koster participated in the operation with Jackson County Sheriff Mike Sharp’s office, as well as the police departments of Independence, Lee’s Summit and Oak Grove.
