He said that headstones are being pushed over and damaged or destroyed, most of them older. Sinclair told MontgomeryAndMe.com, “On the 26th and the 31st I took reports of damaged grave markers. It’s another cloudy/rainy day. At least the rain isn’t solid – yet. It’s been fairly warm for mid-November, but even so I’m still getting a little tired of atmospheric dreariness. I guess we all have to complain about something – human nature being what it is. Rainy weather brings some driving safety issues with it. Let’s address a few.
The subject of Bellflower’s reputation as a “speed trap” was discussed at the City Council meeting on Tues., Oct. 18. Alderwoman Jennie Helderman said that multiple people have complained to her that the police are sitting on Main Street continuously, and said, “I actually had an 89 year old woman call my house and tell me she will not come through Bellflower because the cop scares her to death.”
