Lady Wildcats Basketball prepares for away games in Bowling Green and Fulton

by Montgomery County High School Coach Jessie Cobb

The Montgomery County R-2 Lady Wildcats basketball team had only one game this week and they won easily, defeating Elsberry 50-13 last Mon., Dec. 5, in an East Missouri (EMO) Conference game. With this win the Lady Wildcats have an overall record of 2 wins and 2 losses and a 1-0 EMo. Conference record.

This week the Lady Wildcats will play their first two “road” games of the season when they travel to Bowling Green (EMo. Conference game) on Mon., Dec. 13, and then to Fulton (non-conference game) on Wed., Dec. 15. The JV will play first both nights (at 6:00 p.m.), followed by the Varsity game.

They will have two more games next week before the Christmas Break starts. On Mon., Dec. 19, they will play the second game of a triple-header (with the Varsity and JV boys’ teams) at Wright City (EMo. Conference game). The JV boys’ game will start at 5:00 p.m. On Tues., Dec. 20, the Lady Wildcats will host New Haven (non-conference game). The JV girls’ game will start at 6:00 p.m.

The Lady Wildcats and their coaches encourage you to attend their games and cheer them on to victory. Go Lady Wildcats!
