U.S. Veteran Dennis Wayne Peery, 55, of New Florence, Mo., passed away on Monday, September 12, 2011 at Boone Hospital, Columbia, Mo.

Mr. Peery was born in St. Charles, Mo. on Sep. 28, 1955, the son of the late Charles and Dois (Johnson) Peery.

He was the husband of Marty L. (Kemry) Peery. They were married on August 15, 1975 at Montgomery City, Mo.; she survives in New Florence.

Dennis is also survived by a brother Larry Peery and wife Rose of Troy, Missouri, a sister Linda Abbott of Mineola, Missouri, sister Wendy Sunderhuse and fiance Rick Manning of Old Monroe, Missouri and a brother Mike Peery of Columbia, Missouri. He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother Gary Peery and a sister Debbie Meyer.

He was an arresting gear teck for the U.S. Navy and he was a life member of the VFW. Dennis loved hunting, fishing, camping and boating.

Visitation will be Thursday 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Baker-Toedtmann-Grosse Funeral Home, New Florence.

Funeral Services will be held at Baker-Toedtmann-Grosse Funeral Home, New Florence, at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 16th, with Rev. Don Deeker officiating.

Burial will be at New Florence Cemetery, New Florence, with full military honors.
