WELLSVILLE: Obituary: Edith C. Clark (Jan. 26, 1922 - Nov. 06, 2011)

Edith C. Clark, 89, of Wellsville, Mo., formerly of Buell, Mo., went home to be with her Savior at 11:05 AM on Sun., Nov. 06, 2011. She had been a resident at the Golden Living Center/Gamma Road Lodge in Wellsville, Mo., since June of 2007.

Edith Candace Clark was born Jan. 26, 1922 in Montgomery County, Mo. to John May and Lottie Bourne May. She married David Eugene Clark on Oct. 17, 1940 and he preceded her in death on Oct. 29, 2002. Mrs. Clark was a member of the Buell United Methodist Church and was a great Sunday School teacher since she was a teenager. She enjoyed croquet, gardening, and reading and studying her Bible. Mrs. Clark also loved to visit with her family and many friends.

Mrs. Clark is survived by her son, Richard Clark and wife, Cheryl, of Wellsville, Mo.; one daughter, Carol Clark of rural Montgomery City, Mo.; and one granddaughter, Angie Weber and husband, David, of St. Peters, Mo. Also surviving is one brother-in-law, Everett Clark, Jr.; one sister-in-law, Norma Clark of Columbia, Mo.; and several nieces, nephews and friends.

Mrs. Clark was preceded in death by her parents, John May and Lottie Bourne May and her husband, David Eugene Clark.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thurs., Nov. 10, 2011, at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, Mo. The Reverend Kim Boone will officiate and interment will be in the Sunrise Memorial Gardensorth of Montgomery City, Mo. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until the time of service on Thurs. at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, Mo.Casketbearers include Orville, Raymond and John Welker, Jim Davis, Jeff Andrews, and Wayne May.
